MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT DURING A PERFORMANCE: “When I arrived in the States
just as Beatlemania was starting. At the time I was James, the Beatle who
played the mandolin. They didn’t have enough room on the stage, but when we
played Ed Sullivan, I was jammin’ on the side of the stage. I don’t think
the camera ever caught me.”

Degrees, if my voice would come around.”
FUN FACTS: He was born in High Point, NC, but James grew up in Holland, MI.
He remains a Tarheel at heart. His general dislike for large dogs stems from
being tackled by one as a small child. (He has no problems with Buddy, the
Lenger family’s very small dog.) James is a huge fan of Wok-In/Wok-Out, “the
best restaurant in the world.”
